The main goal of the summit is to strengthen the community of free educational software developers, especially in South America but also in order to increase collaborative efforts with the rest of the world. The summit aims to bring together developers related to the Sugar platform and deployments based on the OLPC model, but also other platforms and deployments that use free educational software, to share knowledge and discuss strategies.

 

Main Goals

1. Sharing experiences among global Sugar and OLPC deployments;

2. Encouraging the creation of local communities and strengthening existing ones;

3. Getting updates on the current activities of OLPC, Sugar, TurtleArt and technology and learning projects of MIT;

4. Encouraging the participation of local communities in the overall project.

5. To transcend OLPC and Sugar: The developer community goes beyond OLPC and Sugar, and this could be an opportunity to get closer to "non-olpc" organizations.

- Educational free software developers in general
- Technical teams for deployments 
- All those who make possible the development process: project managers, artists and software iconographies producers, testers, translators 
- Teachers interested in promoting links between the educational aspects and the developer community.
- Students and anyone wishing to participate actively in this open community.
